Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 126; Google Scholar) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). RAFIQUL GANI, PhD, is currently the CEO of PSE for SPEED, a company he co-founded in 2018 and is also a distinguished adjunct professor at HKUST (Hong Kong University of Science & Technology) in Guangzhou, and at ECUST (East China University of Science & Technology) in Shanghai, and a distinguished research professor at Széchenyi István University at Győr (Hungary). For 32 years, starting from 1985, Prof Gani worked at the Department of Chemical & Biochemical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark as professor in systems design, where he also founded the Computer Aided Process-Product Engineering Center in 1996. Prof Gani served as an editor-in-chief of Computers and Chemical Engineering journal (2009-2015) and currently serves as editor for the Sustainable Production & Consumption journal. Ajeet Kaushik, Fellow-ICS, is working as an assistant professor of Chemistry at the Department of Environmental Engineering of Florida Polytechnic University – USA. He is exploring nano-enabled technologies for health and environmental monitoring, involving efficient sensing and nanomedicine. Antonio Pedotti is Emeritus Professor of Biomedical Technologies at the Politecnico di Milano where he has been Chair of the Bioengineering Department, member of the Academic Senate and Director of the Biomedical Technologies Laboratory. He has been Founder and Director of the Bioengineering Center of Milan established by the Politecnico and the Don Gnocchi Fnd. He has conducted research on computational modelling and information technologies in many areas of medicine to understand how brain is controlling complex functions like movements, cardiovascular and respiratory systems and how to interact with computer to help patients. He has authored over 400 publications (Scholar H-Index 72)including scientific papers, books and patents that address critical medical needs especially for movement analysis, rehabilitation, cardiovascular monitoring, pulmonary deseases and hadrontherapy in oncology. He has been professor at the University of California,Berkeley, national representative in the COMAC-BME of the European Union, member of the Superior Health Council of Italy, editorial board member of several scientific journals, Chairman of the European Society of Engineering and Medicine, of the International Society of Electrophysiology and Kinesiology, President of the Italian Association of the Medical and Biological Engineering. In 2000 he contributed to establish the CNAO, the Italian Cancer Centre specialized in translational research and Hadrontherapy where he serves in the Board of Governors since the beginning. Camillo Porcaro is a professor of bioengineering at the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Padova. He is a computational neuroscientist with a core interest in developing analytical methods for extracting information from non-invasive measures of brain activity. His research focuses on identifying functional brain sources from data obtained through neuroimaging techniques. In 2008, he defended his doctoral thesis in "Functional Neuroimaging: from Cells to Systems" with honours at the Institute of Advanced Biomedical Technologies (ITAB), University of Chieti, Italy. The same year, he became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Birmingham—School of Psychology, using simultaneous EEG/fMRI. In 2011, he joined the Institute of Neuroscience, Newcastle University, after gaining a highly competitive independent research position. From October 2011 to September 2021, he was an Independent Researcher at the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC) - National Research Council (CNR), Rome, Italy. Furthermore, in 2014 and 2015, he was invited as Visiting Professor at the Neural Control of Movement Lab, Department of Health Sciences and Technology ETH, Zurich, Switzerland and from 2015 to 2022 as an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Information Engineering – Polytechnic University of Marche, Ancona (Professor of Bio-imaging and Brain Research at the Department of Biomedical Engineering). In addition, from 2016 to 2020, he was Visiting Professor at the Department of Human Kinesiology, Movement Control & Neuroplasticity Research Group, KU Leuven, Belgium and from 2018 to 2021, he was Head of the Research hdEEG Lab at S. Anna Institute and Research in Advanced Neurorehabilitation (RAN), Crotone, Italy. His working careers are 1997-2003 Assistant professor, 2003- 2016 Associate professor, 2016-present at Tokyo University of Marine Science & Technology. Marek Konop is an Associate Professor in the Department of Experimental Physiology and Pathophysiology at the Medical University of Warsaw. He works in the field of experimental dermatology and regenerative medicine, especially in the role of biomaterials like keratin and silk in diabetic wound models, collaborating with many international institutions. He is the author or co-author of approximately 40 papers mainly in the fields of wound healing and experimental cardiology. Dr Sikiru O. ISMAIL is a Chartered Engineer and a Senior Lecturer in Manufacturing Engineering and Materials, Department of Engineering, School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science, University of Hertfordshire, England, UK. Yanbo Liu, a professor in Nonwovens Department of Wuhan Textile University, Hubei Province, P. R. China, she gained her PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA, 2004. Her research directions are focused on micro-nano fiber preparation and their applications, mainly including the principles of electrospinning technology, equipment development, and nanofiber product development for applications in filtration, flexible fabric sensors, battery separators, waterproof and breathable membranes, wound dressing, medical scaffolds, etc. She also performs researches on bacterial cellulosic nanofiber-based aerogels for applications in insulation, adsorption and separation. She has published more than 120 papers and edited one book, and completed two NSFC research projects, two provincial projects and more than 20 research projects from the relevant companies as PI, and she was authorized to grant more than 20 patents. The highest IF of her published paper is 40.4 (CSR), and she was entitled with Young Scientist Award by IAAM in 2023.

Lijia Pan is currently a full Professor of college of electronic science and engineering, Nanjing University. Hereceived Bachelor from South China University of technology, then obtained Ph.D. from the University of science and technology of China. He worked as postdoc in department of physics, Nanjing University between 2004~2008. He has been a visiting scholar to Stanford University from 2011 to 2012 and May-August 2017. Caterina Valentino is a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Drug Sciences, University of Pavia. There she got a Second Level Italian Master’s degree in Preformulation, pharmaceutical development and control of medicinal products (2024), a PhD in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Industrial Innovation (2023) and a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology (2019). Franz-Josef Meyer-Almes is currently Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt in Germany. He earned his Diploma in Chemistry at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen (Germany) in 1991 and his PhD in Biophysical Chemistry from the same University, working with Prof. Manfred Eigen at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen. Currently serving as the Head of the Department of Parasitology at the Universiti Malaya (UM), Professor Dr. Lau Yee Ling has an impressive academic background. In 2008, while awaiting her PhD viva, she began her academic career as a lecturer at Monash University Sunway Campus. During her tenure at Monash University, she received two Monash University Research Grants, which allowed her to pursue her research in the field of molecular parasitology. In 2009, she returned to her alma mater, the University of Malaya, as a Senior Lecturer. Her dedication and contributions led to her receiving tenure in 2010, followed by promotions to Associate Professor in 2013 and Professor in 2019. She was appointed a fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia in 2019. Professor Lau's scientific pursuits have primarily revolved around the comprehensive investigation of Plasmodium knowlesi, a zoonotic parasite known for its significant role in the development and transmission of malaria. Her research focuses on utilizing advanced molecular techniques to identify, detect, and characterize these parasites in both human and animal hosts. Nur Mustafaoglu is an interdisciplinary professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Sabanci University. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University. She holds two bachelor's degrees: one in molecular biology and genetics and the second in physical engineering from Istanbul Technical University. She also holds a master's degree in nanoscience and nanoengineering from the same university. She received a Fulbright scholarship to pursue her PhD in the United States in bioengineering from the University of Notre Dame. Her research for biosensing applications was recognized by the Berry Family Foundation Graduate Fellowship in Advanced Diagnostics & Therapeutics. She currently leads a bioengineering lab focused on innovative technologies for understanding and treating brain diseases and their interactions with the blood-brain barrier. She was awarded by BAGEP Young Scientist Award in 2023, and TUBA-GEBIP and ODTU-Parlar young scientist insentive awards in 2024. Her research was funded by many funding agencies including ERC-Starting, EU Marie Curie Actions, EMBO, TUBITAK, and ERANET JPND and Neuron. Nekane graduated in Pharmacy in 2020 from the Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (EHU / UPV). After working in the pharmacy, she entered the field of research and has continued her training at the biomedical cooperative of scientists I+Med S.Coop., a leading company in the field of nanotechnology and controlled release where she has been working for more than four years. Over the period of these years, he has worked on projects for the development of different types of pharmaceutical products, from cosmeceuticals to injectable hydrogels or new oral dosage forms. She continued her training with the master "Biomedicine: technologies and knowledge management" (year 2021-2023) and currently within the EHU/UPV´s PhD program Research and Evaluation of Medicines.
